WORKSHOP I | NO ECM
“Clinical Insights for Physiotherapists: Management of Cervical - Lumbar Pain and Associated Disorders”

Limited to 30 participants | For Physiotherapists

The non-ECM credit workshop for Physiotherapists, limited to 30 participants, scheduled for the Mediterranean Pain Forum on May 5, 2024, will be an interactive and informative opportunity. The workshop is titled “Clinical Insights for Physiotherapists: Management of Cervical – Lumbar Pain and Associated Disorders.” The event will focus on exploring advanced clinical approaches for pain management in patients with cervical and lumbar issues.

The workshop will be divided into two distinct modules, each lasting 30 minutes:

11:00 -

Spinal manipulation: mechanisms of action , adverse events and practice

by Francesco Piampiano An overview of vertebral manipulations explaining the mechanisms of action and the risk of adverse events, the course will include the practical explanation of the vertebral manipulation techniques most used in clinical practice.

11:30 -

Spinal manipulation: mechanisms of action , adverse events and practice

by Giuseppe Impellitteri This module will address clinical practice guidelines for lumbar pain and associated disorders. Practical approaches and therapeutic strategies to enhance the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic care in managing lumbar pain will be discussed.

WORKSHOP II | NO ECM
“Basic Programming for Spinal Cord Stimulator: Fundamentals and Advanced Parameter”

Limited to 20 participants | For Spinal Cord Stimulators

The limited capacity of 20 participants ensures an interactive and personalized environment, allowing each participant to engage with experts, ask specific questions, and deepen their understanding of spinal cord stimulator programming.

12:30 - 13:00

Understanding Frequency, Amplitude, Pulse Intensity, and Various Waveforms in Spinal Cord Stimulation

This module provides a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of spinal cord stimulation. Key concepts such as frequency, amplitude, pulse intensity, and various waveforms will be explored. Special attention will be given to how these variables influence patient response and pain management through spinal cord stimulation.

13:00 - 13:30

"Spinal Cord Stimulation Programming: A Crash Course"

The second module shifts focus to the practical programming of spinal cord stimulation. This "Crash Course" offers a quick and practical overview of the fundamental principles of programming, enabling participants to acquire essential skills to optimize the effectiveness of spinal cord stimulation efficiently and safely.
