He mainly deals with electromyography, headaches, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, dementia, migraine, carpal tunnel, evoked potentials, botulinum toxin, neuropathy, and dystonia.
In 1983, he graduated from the University of Palermo with a degree in Medicine and Surgery and completed his residency in Neurophysiopathology at the University of Messina. He was part of the Italian multicenter study on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and participated in the multicenter study on varus equinus foot.
Currently, Dr. Romano holds the position of Level I Medical Director at the Complex Operative Unit of Neurophysiopathology at the Presidio Ospedaliero Villa Sofia in Palermo.
A member of a number of prestigious scientific societies, he is also a Councilor of Italian Associations in the field of Neurology. Finally, he has organized numerous national and international conferences and authored numerous scientific publications in national and international journals.
